A Fellowship Circle
Digital Wisdom Circle
Walk with others learning to use technology without being formed by it.
A small circle for honest conversation about phones, screens, social media, gaming, and AI — and the slow work of becoming free, present, and faithful in a connected age. Not a screen-time program. A formation circle.
Why it matters
Technology forms us whether we notice or not — our attention, our desires, our sense of self. Scripture calls us to a renewed mind, undivided attention, and bodies offered as living sacrifices. A Digital Wisdom Circle helps a few people watch over one another's attention and freedom together.
Scripture foundation
- Romans 12:1-2
“Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
- 1 Corinthians 6:12
““All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient… I will not be brought under the power of anything.”
- Philippians 4:8
“Whatever things are true… honorable… pure… lovely… think about these things.”
Gentle rhythms
- Meet monthly, phones face-down or in another room.
- Share one honest observation about your attention this month.
- Read a short passage together and respond slowly.
- Choose one small, shared practice for the coming month.
How to form one
- Begin with 3–6 people who genuinely want freedom, not just less screen time.
- Agree on confidentiality — what is shared about struggle stays in the circle.
- Track practices, not performance — small faithful steps over time.
- Consider including a mentor who has walked this slowly.
When you are ready, open Fellowship Circles to create a Digital Wisdom Circle and invite companions for the slow work of freedom.
