The Lord's Plan of Salvation

Christians believe that apart from Jesus Christ, there is no lasting hope.

The Bible teaches that every one of us is born with a sinful nature — a bent away from God. We don't have to be taught to sin; it comes naturally, because sin has affected every part of humanity (Romans 3:23).

Sin separates us from God because He is perfectly holy. It creates a divide that we cannot bridge on our own. Scripture tells us that "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). Sin carries a penalty, and no amount of good works, good intentions, or religious effort can remove it.

If left to ourselves, we stand guilty before a holy God and unable to restore what has been broken.

God's response to our greatest need was His greatest gift. Out of His love for the world, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ.

Though Jesus lived a sinless life and committed no wrong (2 Corinthians 5:21), He willingly went to the cross and took upon Himself the punishment that we deserved. He died in our place so that we would not have to bear the penalty of our own sin.

Three days later, Jesus rose from the grave, defeating sin and death once and for all (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). His resurrection is the assurance that His sacrifice was accepted and that eternal life is available to all who place their faith in Him.

Salvation is not something we earn. It is God's gift, received by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). When we recognize that we cannot save ourselves and place our trust in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished on the cross, God forgives our sin, makes us new (2 Corinthians 5:17), and welcomes us into His family.

Salvation is far more than escaping judgment. It is being brought home.

Through Jesus Christ, what was broken is restored. We are reconciled to the Father and adopted as His sons and daughters (Romans 8:15). We are no longer separated from Him but invited into a relationship that begins today and continues for eternity.

We are no longer lost, but found (Luke 15:24). We are no longer our own, but His (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).

God desires more than our belief. He desires our hearts. He invites us into daily fellowship with Him — to know Him, to trust Him, to walk with Him, and to become more like Christ as He transforms us from the inside out (Romans 8:29).

When we place our faith in Jesus Christ, God gives us His Holy Spirit, who lives within every believer (Romans 8:9). Because of His presence, we are never alone. He comforts us, guides us, convicts us, strengthens us, and reminds us that we belong to Him.

As children of the Most High God, we have the assurance that He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
